how I deal wit post 9/11 trauma as a 19 year old republican
Issue 87 | September 2026
As a young conservative, I’m often kept up at night by traumatic childhood events. Covid graduation? I was there. Starbucks red cups scandal? I remember. When they took away the green M&M’s heels? I shudder at the thought.
I'm so haunted by my past, one may even call me oppressed. Although, my worst memory of all, is the Hamas attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001, of which I witnessed.
I remember witnessing the battle between freedom and evil on TV. I asked my father “Pa, why do other countries want to kill us?” to which my old man said “What? We’re watching Transformers”. And he was right; The muslim world is deceptacons. I carry this lesson with me everywhere. In my Humanomics discussions, my story reposts, the places that matter. Nobody seems to remember but me? I’ll never forget.
Other republicans share this burden. The only way to move on from the past is making sure it never repeats. What if the second 9/11 happens to Chapman Grand? To the FIJI house? Only you and I can stop it. As lions among sheep, we can never be too scared of a second Islamic takeover.
