Help! I'm Stuck in the 9/11 Escape Room
Issue 87 | September 2026
I couldn’t wait for the Kirkiversary Rave. I mean, a rooftop party on AF? Open-carry dress code? Sign me up! But just when I was suited up to assassinate the dance floor, my loser friends saw a Fizz ad for a one-night-only escape room and we went there instead. Big mistake.
I thought it was weird at first that it was at John Wayne Airport, and that there was no TSA in security when we got there, but hey, I already brought my handgun, so I didn’t complain.
I’ll admit, I didn’t read the waivers they had us sign, or question why the escape room was on a plane. But once we were locked inside, I locked in too. My stupid friends kept trying to look for “clues” and “hints” hidden in the overhead bins, but I knew what they wanted us to do: storm the cockpit.
Even though I heard the game master on the intercom saying “sir, you’re not supposed to force the pilot to fly the plane at gunpoint, he’s just a paid actor,” I knew they were tricking me with reverse psychology. So, up and away we went.
