Pretty People Reportedly Ruining Photo Dumps
Issue 33 | September 2021
At first, the rise of casual instagrams meant good news for the uggos of Chapman. Characterized by sparse posting, landscape images, and snapshots of the mundane all taken on a disposable camera and wrapped into a neat 6-7 photo post, photo dumps provided solace for the 4s and 5s on campus.
Those days are over with attractive people hijacking the trend. Instead of posting proof of life once every six months with a camera-covering-your-entire-face mirror selfie tucked at the end of a multi-photo post, pretty folk are opting to post adorable-yet-sexy candids from the beach followed by the worst photography you've ever seen in your life. A blurry middle-finger, a blurry half-eaten Urth salad, blurry (but obviously hot) feet—an alarmingly grim looking photo of the Berlin wall fountain—anything can be art when you're an LA 9.
The local CVS has begun to prioritize photo-developing to those with the most blue-checked followers, leaving the hags and wenches of Chaptown to find a new hobby. But all is not lost! Being "good-at-twitter" is the new "face-for-radio", so to all the uglies reading—let's hope you're funny.
