The Ricci Realty Empire Expands!
Issue 62 | April 2024
Looking to usurp power from their competitors once and for all, Ricci has been doubling down on their promise to "give power to the landlords" in a sweeping gentrification doctrine, sparking bidding wars all over Orange.
Sophomore Steven Blanchard was reportedly about to move into his 2 bedroom place when an agent from Ricci Realty told him that they were going with another option, one that was "less poor looking."
Junior Anika Smith agreed to a $1600/mo rent for a new house on Shaffer. When confirming her lease, it read "$1900/mo + half of your Panther bucks." Thinking this to be a spelling mistake, Anika questioned the apparent increase. Ricci Realty sent back, "Good catch. Meant $2k."
With the recent legalization of ADUs, Ricci Realty has encouraged all landlords to construct secondary units in their backyards, front yards–even driveways. Blueprints revealed a 100-story housing tower will be built in the backyard of The Firehouse as a symbol of Ricci's phallic power. The group promises that "the Spire" will, in fact, solve the housing crisis faced by Chapman students if it doesn't immediately fall over.
Hey, at least it doesn't have double parking!
