A little late; Chapman University comes out staunchly in favor of women's suffrage.
Issue 60 | February 2024
A strange move from Chapman's board of advisors this week, as they have come out with the following statement, "to clarify, Chapman University is in support of the movement to secure women's right to vote." This message was sent out completely unprompted to the entire student body raising many questions as to the reasoning behind it. President Struppa assured that "At Chapman we pride ourselves on never taking a side on even the least controversial of topics, but we refused to stay silent about this any longer." While most found this message confusing, to one on campus group, it was a declaration of war, as members of Chapman Republicans took to the internet to post about how the "woke agenda" was ruining an otherwise respectable university. Not to worry as Chapman has responded with the following official statement, "Chapman stands with the brave women fighting for their rights, we have always believed that women should be allowed to vote, so long as it doesn't interfere with their duties as a homemaker."
