PSAFE's 2025 Group Halloween Costume: ICE

PSAFE has announced its group Halloween costume for this year! They will be dressing up as ICE, or as they like to put it, “enforcement officers.” Now, you may be wondering just what they really have to change for them to pull off these costumes. Each PSAFE officer will don a gaiter mask and patrol campus with a gun in hand. They will also take off their nametags. Oh, and Hinson will wear a wig, but that part’s just for fun.

Since their costume announcement, it seems like officers have adopted a sort of method-acting approach to prepare for dressing up. In recent weeks, officers have been seen forcibly detaining drunk students at parties who had simply called Safe Ride. Last month, an officer even asked a black student to leave class after mistaking him for a trespassing homeless man! That part isn’t a joke.

I wouldn’t be surprised if some of them actually took the leap fully into that new profession. I mean, at least ICE gets to anonymously harass people all year round. Stay safe, Chapman.
